The original University of Alberta campus, in the heart of "sunny Alberta," has looked at downtown Edmonton from across the banks of the North Saskatchewan River for a century. Today, this campus (North campus) is complemented by a French-language campus, a downtown location, a rural liberal-arts campus, and a South campus.
Located 10 minutes from the North campus, South Campus houses a "living laboratory" of eight high-tech agri-food research and teaching facilities and land plots, as well as two world-class sports facilities and a residence complex.
Situated just south of downtown Edmonton, Campus Saint-Jean is the University of Alberta in French, offering a French-language education unique in Western Canada. Many students take classes at both Campus Saint-Jean and UAlberta’s North campus using the free shuttle-bus service that runs between the two.
This new UAlberta campus is in the former Bay Building, a historic, well-known landmark in the heart of downtown Edmonton. Enterprise Square houses the Faculty of Extension, Alberta Family Business Institute, and the School of Business' Executive Education and Lifelong Learning programs, along with a number of administrative units, retail space and TEC Edmonton, the university/city joint venture in research commercialization.
Located in Camrose, 60 minutes southeast of Edmonton, Augustana offers a liberal arts-focused education on an intimate campus. Originally founded in 1910, Augustana continues to build on its reputation for high-quality teaching on a friendly, caring, residence-based campus.
Although not technically a "campus," the U of A Calgary Centre is located in the heart of downtown Calgary and houses staff from Augustana Campus, University Relations, the faculties of Engineering and Rehabilitation Medicine, and the Alberta School of Business. Its purpose is to engage the 20,000+ Calgary-area alumni, learners, prospective students, donors and other University supporters, serving as the "front door to the U of A" to the Calgary community.
