The Fine Arts Building, opened in 1973, is home to the
Departments of Drama,
Music, and
Art and Design. The building (on the former site of the
Varsity Tuck Shop) contains movement/dance studios, specialized classrooms, art and costume workshops, a 200-seat Thrust Theatre, practice rooms, a chamber music room, a well-equipped electronic studio, and a large library of music scores and sound recordings. It also houses the
Fine Arts Building Gallery which exhibits the work of students and staff in addition to work by many international artists. The building also houses the
Print Study Centre.The building is connected by a pedway to The Timms Centre for the Arts and to Hub Mall.
